Sonnet: When People Die… Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: When People Die…

Rating: 3.0

My loving father is no more today;
The truth is that he died and left us all;
Each human being leaves the world this way;
The soul is off the body – none can stall!

All human beings have to die some day;
The state of soul is important always;
None can prevent death’s call nor ever stay;
Ephemeral is earthly life and days.

Even our Lord Christ died upon the cross;
And blessed was the Virgin Mary’s womb;
He rose alive on third day from the tomb;
He gave His Holy Spirit as our Boss.

Why cry when people die – ’tis God’s calling;
Just pray from heart for those dead and living.
