Sonnet- When Men Are Worse Than Beasts! Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet- When Men Are Worse Than Beasts!

Which man is man who sees his comrade die,
Remaining passive spectator of it?
Which man is man who does not ask him why,
His friend can't give up his smoking habit?

Is man a man who tortures his brethren?
And packs the body-pieces in suit-case?
Is man a man who burns his fellowmen?
And watches his gory struggling face?

What man is man who pours acid on next?
And causes burns and scars of great degree?
What man is man who takes wife on pretext
And sells her to a gang for raping-spree?

No man's a man who is worse than a beast;
No one on earth can forgive him in the least.
