Sonnet: Thank You Dear Medical Colleagues Poem by Dr John Celes

I leave a family loved, acquainted long;
I wish I could stay on forever here;
I know you shared my life and plaintive song;
I'm sorry I've to leave everyone dear!

But why things happen thus, I do not know!
No one predicts the future perfectly;
Life takes us in its ‘ups and downs' somehow;
We heed our conscience, toiling sincerely.

Yet, all things happen for our unseen good;
We shouldn't worry about our tomorrow;
Our caring, loving God has understood
Our needs and woes, our bitterness, sorrow.

God's plans for us are made before we're born;
Our earthly stay will over be by morn!
