Sonnet: Souls In Purgatory Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Souls In Purgatory

If I can’t pray for you, then who else could?
If I don’t pray for you, then who else will?
If I won’t pray for you, then who else would?
To pray for you will I my death until.

To pray for people dead is duty prime;
For holy souls in purgatory, we pray;
As God’s mercy will come in His own time;
We pray till souls are purified God’s way.

The living pray for God to save all souls;
Abode of God is holy and sinless;
The grace of God is showered akin doles;
The heart of God can wonders do endless!

God plans to save sinners through Jesus Christ;
The Word of God is lucid and disguised!

I like the prayers of those souls in purgatory may God have mercy on them and give them eternal peace. Wonderful
