Sonnet: No Religion Can Save Man's Soul Poem by Dorian Petersen Potter

Sonnet: No Religion Can Save Man's Soul

I just keep thinking those same old things,
Among them, on how man makes such a mess!
Destroying foolishly little by little everything;
That God's given us from start with all His bless!

Right from the beginning man's ways twist to evil,
By hurling on God's face love- he chose sin!
And all began in paradise and free will-
Since then man, hasn't with God, the same ev'r been!

O, God! I'm pleading fervently to you,
Touch the heart of every man, woman and child;
Release your power/grace- and open wide their eyes;
So they can see best and mend hearts' ills!

Men's ways are fill up of sin right to brim,
Religion can't save! Just Jesus, only Him!
