Sonnet: Mysterious Are The Ways Of God Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Mysterious Are The Ways Of God

The Creator permits many a thing,
Whose reasons stay unknown to man for long;
The unnatural and sinful ones could bring
On curses to kindred as they are wrong!

Like how you cut down trees to broaden roads,
Or raze down buildings to raise new structures,
God too permits those men who play with words,
Destroying what the Maker well nurtures.

But ultimately, plans of God succeed;
The evil-doers get punished for crimes;
God's patience, code and plans, none dare exceed,
Correction comes surprisingly with times.

God has His ways despite man's transient wins;
The evil mind will pay some day for sins!
