Sonnet Iv Poem by Juan Olivarez

Sonnet Iv

You are as beautiful as the clouds that fly,
Forever in the topaz hue.
Like white pearls that adorn the sky,
Up in the sapphire blue.
You are the scented breeze that blows,
Forever through my hair.
You are the seedling that slowly grows,
When nurtured with loving care.
You are the rain that gently falls,
Renewing life once more.
You are my shelter from sudden squalls,
My solid oaken door.
You are the sunshine, when I rise at dawn,
You are my queen, and I your pawn.
