Sonnet I Poem by Fadhy Mtanga

Sonnet I

I had a love for a girl, one time,
That I thought the truth in her;
Thou’ people told me mo’ abou’ her,
Abou’ her datings with other boys.
I thought to leave her, one time,
She knew it and did it before me;
She left me and my heart was broken,
That I cannot trust a woman again.
I believed in the impossibles, one time,
For I strived to be the best;
All the days I believed in her,
That she would love me, not the rest.
On dilemma, all the time, where to stand on?
When all the girls have the same old story?
