Sonnet 5 Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Sonnet 5

Rating: 5.0

searching for the bright heart
every step is decorated with hope
when ride wild horse, you need to pull the rope
listening to old melodies from the music chart

did Nelson Mandela endure that difficult road?
watching the giraffe shouted aloud
watching the flight of the vulture
that promised to beautify the future

except for the bizarre occasions
in contemplation of perpetual pain
you came from the fountain in Stockholm
the cisterns are filled with sparkle of rivers
there's no chamber to turn around the chain
rose petals tossed at you from green home
