Sonnet # 33 Your Picture Poem by John A. Hancock

Sonnet # 33 Your Picture

In my mind I drew a pretty picture
A portrait only just of you
All the colours form'd an image of thy face
With your eyes sparkling like the morning dew
In my mind I kiss'd your picture
Your silk like hair my hands they yearn to feel
I could almost taste the sweetness of thy lips
And for a moment your picture to me was real
Your picture is with me always
Within my thoughts tis framed in gold
Forever will it be placed upon my heart
And I swear to thee I shall never let it go
For no night sall pass that I donot gaze
Upon your picture for with it I shall greet each day
