Sonnet: 11-11-11 Poem by Dr John Celes

The date is strange with six ‘ones’ in a line,
And happens once within a century;
The day in history will forever shine,
As world encounters peace and wars bury!

Many will choose to have a child this day!
And some could plan to buy a house or plot;
Some want to celebrate and truly pray;
A lazy bone will not budge from the cot!

A memorable day indeed to all;
Rich nations could declare a special feast;
Let’s make up with our brethren by a call;
We must remain humane and nev’r a beast!

May God be prime again in life today!
Let us resolve by love to hate repay!
Dedicated to all who toil to make the earth, Paradise!
