Sonja's Song~ Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

Sonja's Song~

Rating: 5.0

Her voice reverberates in the Night air
And it is swallowed up
By those who need
To know...
Yes, Sonja is singing, yet again
Her words
To sew;
A song with it's story
To tell...
An alarm
Of a song
Sung in dusky halls
In back alleys
Of: 'all wrong';
Amongst the wheeler-dealer's
Soon to be vanquished
The corrupt red thread
A warning tune
Of the cancers of the day
The lacing of yesterday
In the days of Luis- soon;
In the chestnut's
And other fruit's
Full circle & complete...
As we wait patiently here
Slowly but knowingly
And in the air
A haunting but with no fear;
Joan Baez sings to remind
All of the blessing's of God
You know - The Divine...
Banishing all evil 'so close'
All that is set to come...
One step ahead - we are
Prepared for every hidden dose;

And Sonja is still singing- smug
Almost like little beetle bug's
All caught up in her bitter drug's
Just a group of button hole thugs*****

Thank you David. Have had a few ask me what this is really about. Will just say that it is about someone by the name of Sonja who is a poet...it is also a write about new neighbors in the neighborhood. The two are tied together.
