Song To Mother Mary Poem by Dr John Celes

Song To Mother Mary

I'm sick of living here on earth,
O Mary, heal my soul;
O Virgin Mother, who gave birth
To Jesus, mend my role!

The odds against me are countless,
Give me my victory;
Life's walk is now a run reckless,
Give me a sanctuary.

When heaven chose you to be Queen,
You put your trust in God;
How glorious was Assumption scene!
You are now with the Lord.

O Holy Virgin full of grace,
Help me to walk with Christ;
I want the Savior to embrace,
Help me shun sins accursed.

Above all saints, O blessed one,
You crushed the Serpent's head;
O Mary crowned with stars and sun,
Pray for me when I'm dead.

You knew the cross, on which Christ hung,
Much better than us all;
You stood the test and stand among,
The angels, saints, so tall.

O Mary, pray for us sinners,
And take us to heaven;
Show us the way to be winners
On earth and say, ‘Amen! '
