Song Of Universal Cheer Poem by Raj Arumugam

Song Of Universal Cheer

Rating: 5.0

come living beings, all of life
all forms and creatures
seen and unseen;
come and listen and sing
the song of good universal cheer

ha ha he he ha ho
tr la la la li li la la
da da da ha ha he he ho
sa ri ma pa
tra la la la
li la la li li la

a dolphin swims beside me
in the shallow waters of the coast
and the dolphin lets me stroke its skin
and the loving creature sings:

ha ha he he ha ho
tr la la la li li la la
da da da ha ha he he ho
sa ri ma pa
tra la la la
li la la li li la

an owl comes out to my window
in the quiet of the night
and with a gentle flap of its wings
the caring owl hoots to me:

ha ha he he ha ho
tr la la la li li la la
da da da ha ha he he ho
sa ri ma pa
tra la la la
li la la li li la

I am walking in the woods
and there is a field
of a hundred butterflies
and they all wing it for me:

ha ha he he ha ho
tr la la la li li la la
da da da ha ha he he ho
sa ri ma pa
tra la la la
li la la li li la

I am on the hilltop
in the cool of the evening
and I am surrounded by the
rivers and the trees and the hills
and the moon and the stars above me;
and we all sing the song
of love and goodwill,
the song of good universal cheer:

ha ha he he ha ho
tr la la la li li la la
da da da ha ha he he ho
sa ri ma pa
tra la la la
li la la li li la

come living beings, all of life
all beings and creatures
seen and unseen;
come and listen and sing
the song of good universal cheer

ha ha he he ha ho
tr la la la li li la la
da da da ha ha he he ho
sa ri ma pa
tra la la la
li la la li li la

So glad to stumble upon this poem. It's so filled up with happiness, a real song of joy. (shhh, I feel like nobody else has found it yet- smile)
