Song Of The Ocean Poem by Jyotishman Debnath

Song Of The Ocean

there is a song of this vast ocean
the sandstone of desire in the seashore
increasing like the tides

in a mispronouncing manner he spells
the word 'LIFE'

difference between the real and the painted face
with the colors of lie!

in the pages of the dairy
there is a blankness of the thoughts
epistles to the self

each page describing a faded hope
trying to mend the broken edges

as if he has caught a fish
and then suddenly a kingfisher snatched it from him

there is no metaphor left for this
neither any meaning
nor interpretation
like a breath it is easy the way of
mispronouncing the word life,

so is easy to suffer to love and die

jade stone called heart
laments repents and weeps

and then in a lonesome silence he changes the song
