Song of Silence
- - - - - - - - - - -
Today I felt alone,
With so many friends to sing along.
Like a withered monument centuries old,
Cast upon the hill of song.

Covered in moss I stand tall,
Afraid to cry no more,
For the lord has spoken and freed my soul,
Letting my tears fill the waterfall.

A thunderous rush of memories gone,
Wash the words from the marble stone.
leaving silence on its face,
Myriad smiles in its place.

Forgotton not on heavens door,
The orphan waters carry on,
Turning ashes to white crest,
That leave our hearts to rest.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It took me almost three weeks to write this poem. It was not easy. As I sense an individual with overwhelming feelings that are shadowed by silence.
Inspired by Amy. A woman who speaks volumes with a smile. She is happiness. She is balance. I felt alone no more for the pheonix has risen and turned ashes to song.

This is beautiful. Very deep. Turning ashes to white crest was my favorite part. :)
