Song For The Little Princess Poem by Oni Omotayo

Song For The Little Princess

Rating: 2.8

Fairy and comely I called thee,
Princess of eminent kingdoms
Beautiful is thy queen mother
Magnificent is the royalty of thy father
And charming is thy little stunning guise.
Thou art of all creation most kind
Dolls and pet love thee!
Thy choosy dress is of all most fashionable,
the Favorites of thy queen mother.
Thy days are young and quiet,
royalty bear thee upon its soft cradle
Watching and nurturing you with her meek maids
Till thou become a maiden Queen,
Guarded by Angels blissful lane.
Nannies keep thy stories to tell
Has she beside thy bed watch thy infant rest
Nurses keep thy stories to share
Has she cares and cherish thy naive breath
Thy little friends await thee in thy modest garden
The Eden of pleasant toys
To play, sing, jump, and run,
To hide and seek the fine little one in the garden.
In amusement, thy father by night, kisses thy tender head
and of many kings proud of thee.
In passion of motherhood, has thy mother search thee by morning.
Maiden of thy fortress adore thy soft hairs,
Decorating thy supple curls with ribbons of countless roses
Mothers are jealous of thy noble delight;
little ones wished thy noble crown
The tranquility of thy vicinity is made with ten thousand shields and spears.
Angels to thee sing their songs by night,
upon thy pillows dwells myriad of pleasant dreams.
Little princess! Thou art of all creation favorable.
The time of thy youth approach and with years shall it flee,
for grey hairs await thy age
When thou become a mother, thy songs shall ye sing to another.
