'Spur of the moment' poem

Hey hey, where have you gone?
we used to see you walking along
whistling an old love song.

Hey hey, is anything wrong?
we have not seen you
among the throng.

I heard a rumour you'd
gone to Hong Kong...
a City in the far beyond.

Hey hey put a smile back on
and return to England
where you belong.

You are son of the Dales
this cannot be wrong...
come ye back -
and sing the battle song.
