Rating: 5.0

Willow branches

grows near the water

special powers they bring

guarded by water spirits

branches bud in Spring

fairies favor the willows

wistful songs they sing.

Enchanting little poem. We have Willows here; before moving here I didn't know much about them (and what little territorial opportunists they are!) . The touch of the fairies in this poem brings magic. 'Wistful songs' seems perfect for a Willow tree song.
