Somewhere In Dreamland Last Nights Dream Poem by Heather Burns

Somewhere In Dreamland Last Nights Dream

Rating: 4.0

In the silence of the night,
My mind soared in flight.

Sprouting wings as I went,
I felt heaven spent.

Floating on a silver cloud,
Where this world is not
allowed,

Soaring to heavenly heights,
This trip, pure delight.

Gaining altitude, on my
way,
Searching for a brighter
day.

Higher, higher, to the
light,
It has been an awesome
sight.

I looked down, the earth
to see,
It really meant nil to me.

My creative juices began
to flow,
I was caught in the after-
glo.

Mind full of thoughts, and then,
I began to mentally pen.

Tomorrow, back home in peace,
I have found a sweet release.
