Sometimes-It's Just Time To Say Good-Bye Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

It is impossible to please everyone all of the time

Especially when you're yelled at or raked across the coals

Sometimes - it eventually gets to be a bit much

When we realize - we will NEVER reach our goals


It is virtually impossible for many to truly understand

What some go through and deal with every day

Things that medications, diets, and exercise won't cure

Especially when ones organs slowly begin to fail along the way


It has become impossible for some to continue on

For their outlets have failed them as well

Realizing they can never make everyone happy

Even though there is so much more to tell


And so some take their leave of their once blessed outlets

The things that were at least keeping them sane

So they dig themselves further in and away from it all

Away from those who simply do not have a clue of their pain
