Sometimes I Cannot Cry Poem by Gert Strydom

Sometimes I Cannot Cry

Sometimes I cannot cry
while others round me weep
and sometimes life claims
that a man must be a rock
in times of sorrow,
which doesn’t say
that I do not feel
and experience emotions.

At times the silent understanding
is a way of going on
and silence a way of crying.

Nice expression, and true. Thank you, Jeannie.
