Sometimes Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Sometimes

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes I think I'm gonna die
My legs get cold and I close my eyes
I sink into the comfort of my reclining chair
Tell myself, 'Should I really care? '
Got three stents and all these pills
They're the reason why I get the chills
The moment passes and I'm no longer flush
Body is telling me please don't rush
Rub at the cramps that come and go
Sometimes the sight can be quite a show
Got to get moving to warm the blood
Get rid of the bad thoughts that come in a flood
Of course I care, don't want to die
Got things to do
Need to try
So out of the chair and onto my feet
Having stents is not so neat
