Sometimes Poem by Holly Jamestone

Sometimes

Sometimes we just get lucky
And our eyes lock in a glance
That leads us to a special place
And lets us take a chance

Sometimes we know without a doubt
How sweet our precious find
A welcome love with open arms
Two hearts so intertwined

Sometimes God smiles down on us
Yet leaves us to decide
While gently nudging longing hearts
To which we could be tied

Sometimes we just get lucky
And our paths cross and they meld
As inner bonds are echoing
A longing to be held

Sometimes I simply melt
When looking in your eyes
That hold me close and draw me in
With gentle, luring ties

Sometimes I can barely speak
When thinking of our love
And marveling at new-found hope
Both gifted from above

Sometimes we just get lucky
And our hearts cannot divide
With two as One, our path now lit
We're walking side by side
