Something Dark Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Something Dark

Quiet candles like a cults secrets
Ship in the Bay of Salem
She was once possessed
Little girl now grown gray
The Fuher wears a steel helmet
Denizen keys
Doors black as a séance
Whip on a hook
She loves shadows that whisper

Pleasures of the world
Court of Pharaoh
She masturbates to snuff flicks
Darkness with an acorn necklace
Blood red silk stockings
She tells me, “I’ll never marry”
Cold hands with a sapphire ring
Moonlight shines on the mirror
Something dark lies on her bed
