Something Better Poem by Moth Harris

Something Better

Rating: 3.5

If you ever feel doubt just remember that we all get scared
I should've dared to show you something better than me
Just know that I'm trying to be all that you need
Because I want you so badly to believe in me

Through all these wasted words we've spent on drama
and I'll the times I've spent just talking with mama
I realize a few good things, I'm just a little boy hangin' on your dress
I gave up on doubt and all of the rest
Because I need you now

I used to dream of twisted things like love with red hair
and trust without a care, but you've shown me something better
Through the weather of a storm, tears and loneliness
It all lead me back to you

Maybe we were just lucky for once a good while
Still affraid to dial the phone for the fear of who's voice it might be
Just know that I'll never be ready to leave
I believe that life was meant to be this way
