Something Better Poem by Manonton Dalan

Something Better

There's something about Isabel
Razed this place like upside down bell
Up Maryland a fossil did appear
Million years been covered by shells
They said its priceless artifacts
Worthy to be placed in museum racks
Eight million years old baleen whale
Five foot skull, huge you can tell
Embedded in the muddy shoreline
A stonecutter's dream finds
Helicopter search and rescue were put to test
Rappelling down to where the fossil rest
Hope the 18 foot fossil recovered
To be examined, cleaned and preserved
Has a clue how it died
Fossilized sharks teeth found on the side
Isabel, you have something better
Priceless to fossil hunter

--Isabel is a hurricane that just passed through east coast---
