Someone Special Poem by Beautiful Disaster

Someone Special

Rating: 5.0

It was an early September morning
I hear my sister Katrina screaming in agony
My teenage body jumps out of bed
My mom says to me “Its Time! ”

We ran outside
Slammed the door
Got in the car
Katrina screams once more

Speed down the road
Celebrating in the car
Katrina thinking I’m going to be a mom
O what joy!

In the hospital for such a long time
Waiting with such anticipation
Finally the nurse walks in
And says lets begin

We are going to have a baby
Says the nurse
Such a wonderful lady
She loves to deliver babies

Katrina shrieks and pushes hard
We watch in excitement
I tell her to be strong
She flashes me a smile

Everything that’s happening is worth the while
I look down
I can not believe my eyes
What a beautiful surprise

Out pops a stunning baby girl
She is the only one who matters in this word
My gorgeous niece
