Someone I Called A Friend Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Someone I Called A Friend

my heart is like a broken mirror
No matter if it's been repaired
I'll always see the cracks

Had a smile that warmed my heart
you were once an angel
Didn't know I had to be careful
behind the smile lies
a disturbed mind

No means no
pinned to the ground
screaming, 'let me go'
behaving like some animal
As you continue
Doing the unthinkable

Once you finished, I froze
Tears rolling down my face
this just goes to show
Anyone can invade
your private space
even those who you first believed
to be someone you call a friend
