Some Days Everything Goes Wrong Poem by Juan Olivarez

Some Days Everything Goes Wrong

Rating: 5.0

Some days everything goes wrong,
You choke on your orange juice, and burn your eggs.
And you feel like you don't belong,
And then a dog pees on your legs.

Some days you really need to stay in bed,
And just watch the Rockford Files.
Or sleep all day, just like your'e dead,
Or play board games like a child.

If things can go wrong, you know they will,
Old Murphy had it down just right.
Like catching your shirt on a window sill,
When you slam the window tight.

Or you wife ties your dog to a water pipe,
And the mutt breaks the pipe in two.
And then she wonders, whats your gripe,
While your hands are sticky with pvc glue.

Sometimes it doesn't pay to wake,
And try to follow the same routine.
So stay in bed for goodness sake,
You'll find out, it's a good thing.
