Some Days Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Some Days

Some days I feel lonely
Barricaded in my little heart
Iron chains around my soul
A heavy load in my chest
Strapped to my soul

Some days I feel lonely
An emptiness wrapped around my heart
Punching holes into my soul
With its poisonous fangs
Dripping with emptiness venom
That numbs my heart

Some days I feel lonely
Transfixed by my solitude
Oblivious to the pain in my heart
Transformed by my empty heart
Into an emotionless pit
A black hole of some sort
