Some Day Poem by Hannington Mumo

Some Day

It shall rise the sun of relief some day,
The day this unceasing hope shall offspring bear;
A respite from scoff and sneer
Of imprudent mortals.

It shall some day illumine the light of glory
From far-off extraterrestrial realms
This adamant of puerile dreams
That have worn out an fantasist,
Who cannot the thought of greatness resist.

Perhaps some day this dark abyss
Shall be an inexhaustible depot of light,
With which the hopeless’ doubts may cease
And the blind may begin to see!
