Some Boys, Some Girls Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Some Boys, Some Girls

There are some boys that are kings,
Some boys that are slaves.
Some boys who shatter things,
Some boys who dig graves.

There are some girls who are such charmers,
Some girls who scream.
There are some girls that spell danger,
Some girls who dream.

There are some boys who talk for years,
Some boys who dwell in silence.
There are some boys with closed ears,
Some boys who jump off the fence.

There are some girls that act like queens,
Some girls that weep like lost mistresses.
Stuck in misspelled liaisons,
Wrapped in conceited dresses.

There are some boys who are jealous,
There are some boys who care less.
Yet you’ll never understand boys,
As much as you wouldn’t for girls.

There are some girls who are nice,
Some girls who are simply coquette
Other girls roll the dice,
And forget the context of etiquette.

Some boys are gentle,
Some boys are full of themselves.
Some boys are hard to handle,
Some boys are worth it.
Some girls are quite the same,

They only differ by the name.
Some boys are pretty lame,
Lest that they know how to quit the game.

Hence, the niceties
And also propping up gestures without vanities
So as to vindicate that, genders do not classify as a whole
The true essence of your soul.
