Some Better Place Poem by David Blake

Some Better Place

Across the plains and through the
dusty deserts that I have so often
wondered in my dreams traveling
toward a shadowy place where I
imagine youthful love might still
remain. How many years have
come and gone since I fist knew
you? The soft rain the echoes of
some far off lost song a couple of
pictures and of that summer
nothing else remains. Longing for
you, I miss the life that I know I can
never again regain, yet I hold fast
to a dream that I might someday h
old you again.
