Soltitude Of Life Poem by Lakshmi Venkataraman

Soltitude Of Life

My soul searched for my body
During birth, they mingled as one
During life, they were inseparable
During death, they singled out as two

Through the performance, I trusted some whom I met
They felt it was easy to upset,
They cared not & let me rot.

Thoughts play & memories slay,
Words like clay strikes me at bay
I sway & stagger on my way
Lay beaten & lost against words
Leaving me to number my days

Aggrieved about my past
Diseased with these thoughts
My present showing no remedy
My future is totally cloudy..
