Solitude Poem by Rose C. Devine

Solitude

How amazingly peaceful it can be
walking along the shore,
silence being broken by a cry of a gull
And the sound of the ocean roar.
Oh to lose one self in that peacefulness,
Never having again to return.
To face once more the problems of life,
Knowing there's no other place I can turn.
It's there by the water, I like to sit,
And quietly reminisce.
And let the outgoing tide wash away
All of my loneliness.
