Solitude Poem by tallulah montegue

Solitude

Rating: 4.0

Oh sweet solitude
A gentle soft mood
Smooth and ever flowing
Like a river of tranquility
Like the gentle breeze
Life flowing with such ease

Books quietly read
Speaks softly in the head
Characters live in the mind
Living life of every kind

Looking out the window in June
Glowing in the dark - the moon
Water spouting from the shower
Remembrance of rain falling on the bower

Gentle mewing in the plants
The soft touch of pets fur
A smooth velvety purr
The kettle whistling its tune
Tea will be ready soon

Good life, comfort and a hot cup of tea
Warm covers and cats beside me
Sweet smell of coffee in the morn
Birds singing in the dawn
Music, streaming from the radio sweet
All this in sweet solitude find
