Solitude Poem by Luce Darwin

Solitude

I find comfort
Only in this small dark room
When I'm alone
I don't feel the need
for human contact
Alone I find myself
Glowing
I am radiant
Floating between
Imaginary places
Where I find just you
I only love you
Maybe, someday
I will give up this solitude
To be with you
Though right now
I can't seem to reach
Your warmth, and your body
With it's beating heart
I'm beginning to be
Addicted to this
Being alone
In this dark room
Dreaming and writing
Mostly about you
Nothing can make me feel
Quite like words can
With the exception of you
