Solitude Poem by Anamika Goswami

Solitude

Solitude has a color, a unique color of its own.
The color of gentle shades, mingling into a dream.
Hues of pink blue lavender softly overlapping each other,
with maybe a splash of bright yellow, here and there.

Solitude is full of music, that can't be heard in company.
The sound of raindropp falling to the ground.
The whisper of a breeze, blowing through the trees.
The chime of a soul conversing at length with its own self.

Solitude is so beautiful, with beauty that endures through eternity.
Like a glance at a flower, unfolding to the world.
Like swirling clouds clearing from the face of an azure sky.
Replete with the splendor and glory of all creation.

Yet, in our single journey through this world of hope and fears,
we stop not to stretch a hand, to touch the charm of Solitude.
Lost in crowds of urban life, with no time to know ourselves,
till maybe a chance encounter lets us know what Solitude means.
