Soggy Blues Festing Poem by Stephanie Eve Kane Arado

Soggy Blues Festing

Soggy Blues Festing

Soggy blues festing is on the horizon
I recall the times I went or talked about going
Some guy and I went or I went alone
Now it’s the princess and me even if winds are a blowing

Crown fountain is our first stop
I love to watch Gwendolyn dance in water
Throngs of people color the urban setting
No one as cute as my water princess daughter

We will all have fond memories of these outings
Trekking from the train station to the crown fountain
Arriving at the side stage to sit in the grass
Snapping pictures of the mookie by Buchingham Fountain

Music permeates the air as the crowd eats and cheers
Aging guitar heroes pouring out their passion
Chatter flows freely at the largest free fest
Better remember to take lots of cash in!
