Softball Poem by E.A. England

Softball

softball is my favorite sport
its my game you see
batter up here comes the pitch
the stikes go 1,2,3

the blood the sweat the tears the fun
it all comes from the heart
first base second base third too
here comes my favorite part

the pitcher stares down the catchers glove
and tries to breathe in slow
she starts the wind up focuses
then quickly lets it go

the batter swings you hear a PING
and outward the ball flies
it starts to dropp inside the field
i got it! someone cries

the ball is caught the girl is out
the game is finally done
the home team cheers and all high five
because they know that they have won
