Soft, Soft Kittens

I have soft, soft kittens,
I love soft, soft kittens
I am a soft, soft kitten
Oh, I write horrible things
about soft, soft kittens
but they were already written
when I was just a kitten

Oh, there is so much innocence
in soft, soft kittens
and I would never wish on them
anything not soft and sweet

Oh, kittens will always be soft and sweet
exactly the kind of kitten I want to be
but some people just like to hate cats,
some people bring the whole pack,
Oh, kittens can bite and hiss and scratch
but sweet little kittens get hurt so fast
this world is no place for them
soft, soft kittens can't hide forever

Oh, we have to wrench our hearts open
we have to make room for them
we have to make a home for them
these soft, soft kittens
they just want to give us their love
that's why this world keeps hating them
these soft, soft kittens.
