So There Is All Your Fragility Poem by A Waltz For Zizi

So There Is All Your Fragility

Will you let me remember you
and not pass judgement on me
or think of me as a murderous
man? I've moved on, and I am
ashamed. You know my promises,
so is this life meant to be
unkind. But you are still
creeping into my poems. Old
fashioned maybe, the difference
between me and everyone else
you loved. Sunday afternoon
I did not write anything
or at least is what I remember.
Naturally I haven't done
anything useful either, just
fledged myself in my mind
from you. Wild parrots on my
shoulders. I indeed need to
sleep more, but it scares me
the thought that I need to
let myself pray to my dreams.
The rest of you is there
undressed upon white sheets
so there is no salvation in
sleeping. More agony. I keep
all your fragility intact
in my memory, probably insignificant
to you, but most important
to me. Maybe I will be condemned
but I'm fighting for myself.
If you're going to rob me,
you must understand I don't
have anything more important
than you.
