I did remember
every afternoon stretching by beneath the sun
I did forget
all the ways that we once were
and every little joke we kept alive
Oh God I wish I felt alive
But I feel so cold now
no one understands how much I would give
just to feel like they do
It seems I am capable of pain and fear
yet nothing else gets through
Sure, I can smile
And let all my tears
Trickle down into my lungs
Sure, I can smile
And let both my fangs
Dig into the back of my heart
Sure, I can smile
Just for a second of knowing
That you believe I'm fine
