So I Brought Up The Drought Poem by Edwin Tanguma

So I Brought Up The Drought

So I Brought Up The Drought

Talking about the drought
Is growing pretty old
We could speak of Winter
But here it wasn't cold

When I think of the past
And all that I've been through
I keep on telling some
When will ya'll catch a clue

Remember the last drought
And how close we all came
The state almost went dry
That would have been a shame

My Father showed mercy
American Home knows
I will not intercede
Ya'll have chosen your woes

I don't need my signet
As if it does exist
Ya'll can keep the darn thing
Ya'll do get the drought's gist

You've pissed My Father off
What more is there to say
So I brought up the drought
May ya'll have a nice day 😃
