Snuff the flame
dimly present
Rendered glimmer
against the night
Diminished spark
spent and drawn
Fibre gasps
to ashen dust,
Day will shine
forever more
New light reach
every corner
To dissipate
the shadow’s pall,
Never again
long nights’ hush
Bask safe
and never mourn
Snuff the flame
readily traded,
Distant glow belies
receding gloom
Cold exposed
and distant borne
Darkness vanquished
or just absorbed,
Blinding light amasses,
occupation dawn.
Your poem remind me of something...i can relate this to many things...but there is hope at the end of the dawn...ray of hope, light of shine, shine from sun! ! ...nice_Unwritten Soul

Beautiful. I love this poem about keeping the light of day, of hope within yourself; to just breathe it in and continue when times get dark. Nice.
