Snow Flakes Poem by Jim O'Donnell

Snow Flakes

Snow flakes falling past the glass
Settling down on the dark green grass
Flake by flake its turning white
Soon all will be dazzling bright

The fire burning in the hearth
Keeps away those winter draughts
Sitting here in candle light
That snow keeps falling through the night

The winter frost has settled in
And the snow has got a crisp top skin
Crackling and crunching under foot
Leaves impressions of your boots

All is now virgin white
From all that snow that fell last night
