Snow Fall Poem by Nicole GravellPellerino

Snow Fall

I watched the snow fall
the other morning
studying it intensely
as it cascaded eloquently
down onto
the barren branched
and the frigid pavement

A blanket of pure white
covers the frozen grass
as crystalized flakes
fall from the grey sky
I tilt my head back
and eagerly catch them
on the tip of my warm tongue

I close my baby blues
and inhale deeply
the frigid air fills my lungs
as I let the simple beauty
of this January day
surround me,
and it takes my breathe away
