Snow Bound Poem by Teresa Dearing

Snow Bound

Rating: 4.0

Beyond luminicence winter clouds,
Silver winds causing chilling shivers,
As winter's pearly grasp quickly sways,
Silent, lovely, and brutal.

The trees limbs all shimmer with ice,
As power lines now lay broken,
Streets are empty and impassable,
Silent, lovely, and brutal.

To anything that's still outside,
Prepare to meet your maker,
For the snow is now banked high,
Silent, lovely, and brutal.

Inside, safe and warm the fire glows,
As we shiver beneath the quilts,
Nightfall comes hours early,
Silent, lovely, and brutal.
