Snow Angel Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Snow Angel

It's much too cold for angels to fly,
So in my thoughts I keep you.
Wondering if it's warm enough.
The thought of you occurs,
Caught in flight
With closed eyes. I see your halo Dressed in white.
Rest your wings.
Relax a while.
I hope it's not too much to ask
It's much too cold for angels to fly,
I tried to find the perfect place to keep warm
Away from the wind, snowflakes that tickle places you've been.
Slowly sinking
Scrubbing our arms and legs in the snow.
I never thought to ask if you were cold
So in my heart I'll keep you safe and warm
